WORCESTER, MA - (October 17, 2005) - Evolo Co., a New England-based snow sports company has announced its first product. The Rotator is a snowboarding accessory designed to allow riders quickly and easily switch their forward foot to a straight-ahead position for lift-riding and flat ground paddling.
Priced at about $75, The Rotator mounts between the snowboard and binding. A quick tug on The Rotator ripcord frees the binding to turn from the locked riding position to a full forward position for traveling on flat ground and lift riding.
John Rush, Evolo president and The Rotator's inventor, said the company introduced The Rotator to snowboarders this fall at Wachusett Mountain's Columbus Day Ski and Snowboard Swap. "It was a great chance to meet New England snowboarders and tell them about the Rotator. When they saw it in action, their eyes got big and they started to smile about getting around on the flats and riding the lifts this winter. The Rotator's street teams will be heading North and west this season."
"The Rotator was invented in New England and has been tested under extreme riding conditions in New England, on mountains out west and in Europe. It has never failed to exceed our expectations," Rush said.
The Rotator comes with a line of accessories including caps and hats, jackets and shirts and other items, he said. "We have been working hard for the past year to put a real team behind this product. The Rotator offers beginning boarders a chance to move comfortably on flat ground while they are learning to ride. Older boarders will appreciate the relief of strain on their joints and the total lack of 'board banging' while riding on lifts," Rush said.
